Acoustic Music - Drift Away

The Topic: I’m pretty much a sucker when it comes to the melody of an acoustic guitar. If you want to drift away, take a peek into my top 5 favorite solo acoustic guitar performances.

1. I find myself listening to Andy McKee a lot, he is a very talented songwriter/composer. This is his performance, and one of my personal favorites, a melody you will surely have playing in your head over and over again. “Andy McKee - Drifting

    2. This next performance is by Antoine Dufour, he also uses similar techniques to give the feeling of a deep drum as he plays. “Antoine Dufour - Catching the Light

    3. This is craig D’Andrea playing his very up-beat composition, “Guess Whos My Favorite?” Very well played and put together. You must see it to believe it.

    4. My 4th pick goes to a classic: “Classical Gas” played by Eric Clapton and composed by Mason Williams. This song is what pushed me to purchase an acoustic of my own.

    5. My last showcase for solo acoustic guitar was a hard pick indeed, but in the end it must go to “boa - Duvet” This song was first brought to my attention through the intro of the anime Serial Experiments: Lain, I then found out there was an acoustic arrangement for the song, one of my all time favorites. Please excuse the video, but it was the only thing I could find!
